It's critically important to keep Lido Beach and Pavilion as a family-friendly, low cost destination for all Sarasota residents and for the tourists who visit Sarasota and are an important part of the area's economy.

I want to keep the current pavilion atmosphere as close to what it is as possible...if the restrooms need work or some of the buildings need repair than do it. I AM NOT in favor of the proposed changes outlined by the city.

Please save the historical Lido Beach Pavilion. Do not change our quiet, lovely, unique image into a Daytona Beach action strip.

I am a manatee county resident, and work in sarasota.
I believe any privatization of a public facility is a huge step in the wrong direction for the people of the county.

As an owner on Lido Key, I strongly support keeping the Lido Pavilion an attractive yet low-key asset to the island. I have no brief with the city partnering with a private enterprise to improve and rehabilitate the site, but the current proposal is simply a bridge too far. The proposal on the table must be dramatically scaled back to ensure that the Pavilion's character is not obliterated in the process. Therefore, I oppose any effort that will commercialize both the Pavilion and Lido Key to a degree that's inherently at odds with Lido's low-key and predominantly residential character.

The island would never be the same - I seen it happen on Ft Myers Beach - now it’s all about the developers
