I have been here my whole life parents and grandparents brought me to Lido Beach as a child back in the 70s and We really don't need another privately owned tourist trap like Siesta Key has turned into!..Let's keep it local and keep it public for all to enjoy for many decades to come!

Have come to this beach for over 20years and it’s UNDEVELOPED State is the reason. We may go to siesta but only once a trip. We love Lido as it is -an AFFORDABLE destination for the people who have supported this local for decades!

My first visit to this great beach, the pavilion should stay in public usage - Xmas day beach crowds show how much this is used!

Please have them update the current pavilion and quit holding the money. My husband and I love the old style as it has been in the past.

Yes why does Sarasota need to once again ignore its own history and people and try to be a beachfront Miami habituated by young cocktail swillers and wealthy people dining beachfront or swanning in pavilions? This city wants to be something it isn’t and can’t be, but it will destroy itself trying. Only developers and those whose pockets will be similarly lined want this type of wanna-be-hip development that’s tearing the city apart and rebuilding it cold, ugly, crowded and like Little Ft. Lauderdale.

Pls keep the lido pool a pool not an amusement park ! It's a beautiful pool in a beautiful setting. Improving it is desirable but don't destroy the current pool culture. Thanks.

Listen to the people who do not want the Lido Pavilion to become a big noisy expensive destination in a neighborhood where that kind of thing is inappropriate.
