I would be in favor of a renovations or new construction and expanded parking, like Siesta Key's facility, but not the proposed restaurant/hotel as mentioned in the presentation.

What makes Sarasota special and different from most of the Gulf Coast beach communities is that it is free access to Lido (and Siesta) Beach for residents and tourists alike. The beaches belong to the people of Sarasota. Privatizing is based on greed and will destroy one of the best features Sarasota has to offer.

I have lived in Sarasota for thirty years and use the pool and beach access on regular basis. Having public access to the gulf and use of these facilities is what brings people to this area to live and pay taxes. Please don’t ruin what makes sarasota the place it is

This is my destination spot, do not change anything about Lido Beach. It will be a huge flop for the city. Stay people/family friendly with plenty of access for the regular people.

The City Commission should NOT approve any conditional use or site plan changes to the Lido Beach Pavilion

I have been coming here since 1976. PLEASE keep the Pavillion the way it is! Family oriented. Friendly. Non-commercial!

This community is being stripped of its use for the residents! Stop the insanity and do not approve!

The beach needs fixing (groins) and the Pavilion needs a facelift but not a redesign.

The lease allows the tiki bar to remain open till 10.30pm, which is asking for trouble. The two existing tiki bars on Lido close at 8pm. The new one should as well.

Lido Beach is a family beach, Access for all. There is enough privatization along the beach in front of the hotels. Leave out pavilion and pool alone!

The lido pavilion proposal changes the character of the entire community. We are a family oriented low key community and enjoy the pavilion as it is. The proposal would change the pavilion into an entertainment destination with noise , traffic, pollution and potential rowdiness with the consumption of alcohol and extended hours of operation.

Sarasota's growing population needs public access to the beaches. The history which is shown on the sign at the entrance to Lido Beach shows the history back in the 1950s when some of the Sarasota population was excluded. A public beach should not be exclusive; there are several exclusive private beach clubs in Sarasota for that purpose.
