Simple... survey the public to redevelop a public space (Lido Pavilion) in a way the public prefers. Appropriate public dollars earned by unscrupulous development all over the county. Execute the plan.

Exclusion of public, especially affecting local residences, may cause more financial impacts than its worth for the build. Tourism is part time. Residence are full time. The residence contribute to Florida local business. Another round of red tide may squash tourism beach goers. Please concider another location other than the Lido public beach access and pavilion.

I’ve been going to Lido beach for 25 years and have so many great memories there! Please leave the pavilion alone and keep it the relaxing place that I have always enjoyed visiting.

The existing pavilion should be saved. It provides visitors with a classic beach experience. And the food is good too. Dont continue to destry the goose that lays golden eggs.

As a former long time Sarasota resident and now yearly vacationer, I love that Lido is accessible, laid back and family friendly. It’s perfectly fine just the way it is!!

My vote is to keep it the way it is. It is one of the last nostalgic places to visit on a whim. How many places can you visit in Sarasota where you wake up, throw on a suit and flip-flops to spend a morning, day or sunset free of charge if you like ?

Lido is a place I have spent my entire life growing up here utilizing its long stretch of beach and accessibility has made it my favorite spot to reach our beaches. The idea of more commercialized usage of these beachfront properties is disgusting. My father grew up here and before him my grandfather when there was little to know exploitation of the canals and beaches here. This place was a paradise of nature and has been transformed by the commercial infrastructure now laden among the shorelines. Seeing all of these Daquri decks make me ashamed of the town as they are simply drinking hubs for young adults and lead to severe casualties including drunk drivers and ultimately fatalities from the type of behavior that exists at there properties.
