It is not theirs and I think most people will rather have nature, ponies and community projects than fracking, development and greed. We need all the support we can get. Alone we can do little, but together we can do much good. We all know the need is great.

I spent the morning down at the stables and looking at the ponies reminded me why I started this fight in the first place. My inbox is full of messages from neighbors who also refuse to let this land be turned into a construction site. We are preparing to bring these stories directly to the council members to show them exactly what they are threatening to destroy.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that our community values these ponies and this land far more than another soulless development project. My heart is full knowing that so many of you see the beauty in what we have built here.

Wigan council haven't wanted this land for over 17 years. It was derelict and rubbish was left there. Wigan council have already passed that building will be done on the land behind common lane near the canal, against the wishes of the local people. Wigan council and its councillors aren't interested in preserving land for future generations, they just want to make Leigh a soulless housing estate.
The rescue is a brilliant place to visit especially for the local community as it brings them together.if it wasn't for the horse rescue alot more crime would of occured.there is not enough of these places around plus Judith and her family have saved these ponies and should beable to carry on doing so x
This centre does enormous benefit to our community. It has saved so many human beings from their depths of depression, some suicidal. Children with many illnesses and disabilities across the spectrum benefit greatly from caring and visiting the wildlife at plank lane and the ponies. Ponies are therapeutic and are so gentle and give so much love. This rescue centre saves the national health service a great deal of money in mental health and other services. These rescue ponies and helpers provide a much needed vital service to the public relieving hospital services. We cannot and must not lose it.
As a newcomer to the area I'd much rather see the rescue centre continue than line greedy peoples pockets.
These guys do an amazing job and also keep a previously unused and messy area looking good X should be supported and funded for the work they do x

Enough with buildings, we need more land to be preserved for wildlife and horses. No one else is caring for the increasing number of abandoned horses.
