Why should anyone remove these windows when after the war General Lee knelt by a black man who was receiving communion. Historical evidence shows he wanted to put the war behind and reconcile. Why take his reconciliation away from him.

Keep Lee and Jackson in the Washington National Cathedral and don't let political correctness dictate that we erase history especially good Godly Generals like Lee and Jackson.

Respectively Sirs, American history has not changed because of a terrible and tragic event where many of our citizens were murdered needlessly by a young man who happened to be holding a flag. Priceless stained glass windows that have been in place for many years do not need to be removed because of senseless deaths. The Episcopal Church is one for all people. The windows honor men of valor of the past. We learn from past deeds and look to the future. May God guide you and share His wisdom with you to make the right decision. With Love and Friendship,

Please do not disturb these windows. The cathedral is for ALL Americans and represent reconciliation from a time our country tried to kill itself.

It would be a disgrace to remove these windows, both morally and historically.

These need to be saved not only for the subject matter but because they are beautifully done. It would be terrible to take down such beautiful artwork.

History and heritage are only understood and important to a select few. Selfishness and ignorance is important to many.

Please preserve the Lee and Jackson Windows in the Washington National Cathedral. These windows honor our heritage, history and ancestors. Although the War Between the States is an unpopular subject, it is a fact and a significant part of American history. My ancestors, from both the North and South fought for what they believed; I am an American and all American art and history are a part of our heritage. We should not try to obscure our history with rhetoric, inaccuracies and political agendas.

The destruction of the Confederate history is disgusting and must be stopped. The Rebel flag has always stood against tyranny. I believe history is repeating itself. Our government is a dictatorship and it will do anything to make us sheep.
