It’s disgraceful that this highly valued and much needed unit should be closed until October. It is essential in this rural area

If you are going to build more estates the infrastructure must be in place and at the moment what we have cannot cope with the popo here already. Impossible to see a doctor, dentistry is struggling and very little bus transportation available. Needs sorting before it's lost forever.

Half the reason i moved here was for the excellent facilities...in less than 3 years who knows how many housing estates gone up and closure if vital services...??? Especially somewhere with no rail link

Launceston and the surrounding areas need this facility. We can’t even get an appointment with our doctor. So many new estates being built in Launceston yet the local doctors and dental list are full.

With limited transport links and long bus journeys to alternative hospitals, young, and non driving families NEED this hospital, especially during the summer holidays. We are struggling to get a GP appointment at the best of times.

Utterly ridicules, had to take my grandson all the way to Derriford when he cut his eye, could have been seen and sorted at Launceston in 1/2 hour.

I have had cause to use this MIU on several occasions, and have always been grateful for it being within 20 minutes drive. It’s appalling..and frankly, frightening...that folk may now be expected to travel to Bodmin, or even further, when in urgent medical need.

No consideration of the local residents, about 15000 of them , who now have to travel a minimum of 40 miles round trip for minor injuries. I thought the idea of having local hospitals was to take the pressure of the big hospitals. Disgraceful and disrespectful to the residents of launceston who obviously just don’t matter to the decision makers , whom it will not affect at all . They don’t care do they

Current local A&E provision is not great and both Derriford and Treliske are judged as requiring improvemnet. Surely a reduction in service is the last thing that is needed.

This facility is crucial to the town. It is a lifeline to people that need help and reassurance when they have had an accident or trauma but feel they do not need to go to a major incident unit. This facility has always been crucial to the town of Launceston and always will be. The people behind this bad decision do not understand the location or geography of this very needed facility. A very grim decision indeed....they should be ashamed of themselves.
