Please don't close our fantastic Minor Injuries Unit. All the staff over the years have been so lovely and helpful and we have all needed it at something in our lives. Launceston has quite a few elderly people who wouldn't be able to get to any of the local major hospitals and probably would suffer at home rather than have to go to Derriford. Save our MIU and help Derriford!

If there are staff to move to another unit, then how is there a shortage ?
It stinks of management effeciency instead of a service to be there when required

We need to keep it open as we are far from other hospitals

I do not feel that moving staff to support services at another hospital is the correct thing to do. You simply can't leave a whole community without MIU care, especially during the most busy part of the year.

Minor injury units are definitely needed as the main hospitals are approx. 1 hour away for many people

This is selling us short. The town numbers are growing exponentially and this vital service is being closed. Also the manner in which the news was given to both staff and patients was disgusting.

This is a much needed service. It is ridiculous to close it, even temporarily!!! Especially when other hospitals are so overcrowded.
