Given that Lake Del Valle is a public resource why not have EBRPD present the offers made by different concessionaires and have the people vote to select one. This would not be a difficult process to accomplish in the year 2014. Or is that too much democracy for our EBRPD?

I have used the Sunrise Mountain Sport kayaking center with both my Girl Scout troop and my family. This is a wonderful resource, with top-notch instructors, well-maintained equipment, and local support (Sunrise, being a family-owned business and not a chain, always has the best interests of its community in mind). Please renew their contract.

Please renew Sunrise Mountain Sport's kayak concession at Lake Del Valle. Sunrise is a highly regarded (and local) kayaking outfit that attracts many new and 'veteran" kayakers to the beauty of Del Valle.

Please don't replace Sunrise Mountain Sports with the same lame outfit that runs the "kayaking" operations at San Pablo or Chabot. SMS is a REAL kayak outfitter.

I'm sure a Kayak center is an excellent place for recreation, why would anyone want to get rid of it, especially with ambiguous reasons?
