I am a frequent user of and contributor to the parks. I don't understand the reason for switching concessionaires and think your decisions need to be ore transparent.

Keep the kayak center run by Sunrise Mtn Sports. There is no apparent reason to change concessionaires.

Please include Sunrise Mountain Sport's Kayak Center as a concessionaire at Del Valle Lake. It is operated by local business owners and staff that provide safe and reliable kayaking experiences to both novices and enthusiasts. They are a valuable resource at the Lake.

PLEASE don't remove Sunrise as the kayak concession at Del Valle. We have rented boats at Chabot, Lafayette and San Pablo reservoirs and can't say that Sunrise does a far superior job. The boats are maintained is a much better fashion. Our last trip to San Pablo will be just that; we had to take our two peddle drive kayaks back in to be switched out because they each malfunctioning in different ways. Please let the experts (Sunrise) manage the concession.

Sunrise has done hell of a jobout there, and provides local knowledge/experience that an out of town shop would not be able to provide.

I have been a customer of theirs since they opened and have enjoyed their friendly, professional way of doing business. They are a good fit for the park and I hate to see the Directors gamble on the future of this concession.

I have had great times renting equipment from the Kayak Center. I also shop at Sunrise Mountain Sports. I think they do a fantastic job at Del Valle! Replacing them is a big mistake.

We have enjoyed renting kayaks at Del Valley through Sunrise for the past 5 years. The employees are always attentive and great stewards of the sport. Sunrise is a local business and I feel good about that as well. I would like to understand why Sunrise is under threat.

The Kayak Center at Lake Del Val is a very important part of the recreational experience which has been offered by the park for years now. Please continue its contract and keep it at the lake for all to enjoy.
