First class organization that should be maintained

As a certified kayak instructor (not affiliated with Sunrise Mountain sports) I care a lot about the quality of service and the competence of the people providing the public with kayak access. Sunrise mountain sport has a stellar reputation in the kayaking community for top-notch competence, as well as breadth in public outreach. Please continue to let Sunrise Mountain sports operate the Del Valle concession.

Polititians not looking out for the people - again. Sunrise has been one of Livermores most upstanding buisnesses for decades. They provide more oportunities and activities for all than just the kayak Center. Don't ruin a good thing.

Please keep sunrise at lake del Valle, they do a terrific job for the community.

Sunrise does a terrific job at Del Valle. I've rented kayaks from them several times and they are knowledgeable, helpful, and have a great selection of kayaks and paddles. I can't understand why EBParks would want to replace them. It makes no sense when Sunrise has done such a good job.

Sunrise Mountain Sports is the right choise to run the Del Valle Kayak Center. They are located in Livermore, are active in the community and very skilled in water-sports activities.

Sunrise is local, provides good service at competitive prices and offers knowledgeable employees who help keep patrons on the lake safe. It's unclear why this concession is under threat. Seems that time and money could be better spent.

I owe many thanks to Sunrise Mountain Sports for their excellent Kayak Center at Lake Del Valle. While it turns out the lake has a lot to offer, I probably would not have visited it were it not for them. They do a great job drawing people to the lake and introducing them to kayaking. I hope they are able to remain at that location.

By virtue of its safe practices and satisfied customers over so many years, Sunrise Mountain Sports has earned the trust of the East Bay Regional Park District. Please continue to use them as your consessionaire.

What is wrong with our pubilc officials? Why make an unnecessary change? If they have a proven track record, are LOCAL, (keep our dollars local please) and a reputable company, why on earth would you consider a change. My son worked for Sunrise at the lake for several years, they run a top notch business. Come on Park Board, where is your head, why would you even consider something so lame. You job is to serve your local residents : So do what you are supposed to do, keep our money local, and do the right thing.

I am a long time user of Lake del Valle, a past and current member of the Regional Parks Foundation, and a longtime Livermore resident.

Sunrise Mountain Sports is dedicated to a healthful lifestyle for the people of Livermore and the East Bay. The kayak center they operated at Lake Del Valle is superb. Owner Kim Grandfield assures that his staff members are competent kayak instructors by giving them training through the American Canoe Association and British Canoe Association. They know the right kayak for each person, depending on their skill and experience. They are friendly and helpful. Kim maintains a large fleet of every kind of kayak. Annually, he sponsors a kayak day at the lake that draws people from throughout the Bay Area. East Bay Region Park District could not find a better operator for this concession.

Why mess with something that isn't broken

Sunrise does an excellent job running the show at Del Valle. Please don't change it.

Sunrise does an excellent job. They care about the sport and care even more about the customers. They have grown the business at the lake to what it is today and it would wrong to turn it over to someone else now that it is so successful.
