The energy produced by the proposed turbines is intended to supply the mainland, not guarantee the island’s own needs. Ample wind and sun are available on the Peloponnese, just 20 km away, so why pollute Kythera's skyline with generators which produced more than 30 times more than the island can ever use? Renewable energy yes, but the burden has to be distributed equitably.
