Budget cuts are currently threatening the closure of Killinarden Community Council's Estate management programme.

This is a vital community resource and it's closure will not only deprive the area, but will put it's manager Patricia Byrne out of a job after 17 years loyal service.

The project offers a range of services including a daily drop-in where residents can bring issues affecting their safety and quality of life. These may include anti-social behaviour, drug dealing, policing, housing conditions and needs, environmental concerns, planning, transport and so on. These concerns are then brought to the attention of the relevent agencies such as the Local Authority, South Dublin County Council, Social Housing Organisations, HSE, Dublin Bus and local community organisations.

To show your support for the retention of the Estate Management Programme and to Patricia, please enter your name where indicated. The results will then be presented to the relevent Government bodies to show that the people of Killinarden will not give up their valued local amenity without a fight.

Reaching this point has been exhausting but seeing the support grow reminds me why we started this fight in the first place. The road ahead remains difficult and uncertain. We have to keep pushing forward despite the fatigue.

This is ridiculous. Patricia is the only one who actually helps when things go wrong around here. Leave this office open!!
