As an Incarnation parishioner, it's become exceedingly difficult to accept and support the many changes our congregation has faced over the last couple of years. Kevin and Bethany are much more than simply providers of music. They are members of our church and school and in sharing their time and talents they have become a huge and most welcome asset. If budget cuts are necessary, start at the bottom and go up VS the other way around.

Their music is an inspiration. I especially love their modern music. Very uplifting! Everyone is happy & really singing! The very old songs do not instill a heart of worship!
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24

Father Jacek stated in a parish Finance Council meeting that he feels that Kevin and Bethany are “Nothing but bar singers.” This was shocking to hear how he truly feels about two wonderful people with such great talents. Jacek is destroying everything that was great at Incarnation. It’s time for Jacek to GO, not Kevin and Bethany!!!

Father Ernie use to say mass wasn’t over until the music stopped. They are more than just our music. Incarnation needs the Paige’s !

They are an important part of the mass and the church. Losing them would be short sighted.

The music ministry that Kevin and Bethany provide is top-notch! They help make the mass more personal and spiritual. We need to find a way to keep them so that our parish will continue to grow and thrive.

Don’t destroy this worship... Kevin and Bethany are the second best thing to happen in the 30 yrs we have been parishioners. The first was Father Earnie. Don’t let a few destroy this beautiful opportunity to worship in song.

Kevin and Bethany bring joy to the Mass. The Gloria we USED to sing was so uplifting! The one Fr has told them to use is almost like a dirge!! The joy is leaving Incarnation in many ways. Parishioners are the backbone of a parish and should have more of a voice in decisions that affect the soul of the parish. Those hymnals are substandard—were any parishioners asked??

We at Incarnation are blessed to have Kevin and Bethany as our Directors of Music. Their music enhances our worship, touches our hearts and sometimes brings tears ... so beautiful! I pray we can work together to find a way to keep them at Incarnation. We need them!!!

The loss of Kevin and Bethany would be a further devastating blow to our parish. Their beautiful music has helped bring many back to Mass, and to lose them would be yet another slap in the face to Incarnation’s parishioners. Please reconsider.

It’s time for our parishioners to have a voice. We have endured too much change over the last two years without so much as an explanation. I saw our young people both come back and enjoy the mass with the addition of our music. Why would we consider changing this. If it’s money has anyone asked for help in this matter? I had someone attend several months ago that I knew from back home. He emailed me and asked if we knew how lucky we were to have music like this.

I was saddened to hear that Bethany had been moved to part-time, knowing the benefit we receive from having her and Kevin lead us with beautiful music each Mass. The fact that they uprooted their lives to come to Collierville showed their desire to be back in a Catholic Church, and we have been blessed by their talent. I agree that having them leave would be another blow to an already spiritually dying Parish...but, we are dying because we have lost sight of why we are there in the first place, the Eucharist. This Parish has become so focused on ME and what can I get out of it, and it starts at the top and trickles down into the pews. Of my nearly 17 years at Incarnation, the last 2 have been the saddest and most difficult, as I’ve watched my friends suffer over the decisions made by Father Jacek, and my own family has been affected in many ways. It was all detailed in a 7-page letter to Bishop Talley. I know that the Bishop has received and read letters and is 100% aware of all that is going on at Incarnation, even all the stuff behind the scenes. He is a holy man who is doing his best with the barely 3 months of time he has spent here and having to undo much of the trauma that Bishop Holley brought upon this Diocese. Signing a petition is one thing, expressing dissatisfaction over this decision to force the Paige’s out, but I firmly believe that picketing is extremely un-Christian-like in an attempt to MAKE the Bishop act, where he may not have the authority to act right now. He answers to those in authority over him, and he needs the freedom to be left to make prayerful and informed decisions based on facts received and investigated, not because a Parish full of angry people is yelling at him. And there has to be someone to fill a vacant spot. Look, I’m angry too. But my years of past and current suffering are showing me that as much as I want things to be one way, ultimately God is in charge, and my job as a faithful follower of Christ is to be humbl

This makes me so sad. As a young adult with young children, I see many of my friends leaving to go to other churches. Times are changing, and upbeat music is integral to worship. If you want young people (and their financial support), you will keep the Paiges. And perhaps an upbeat priest would help too?
