Richard has served us faithfully and diligently for many years and as a customer I would like to ask Royal Mail to reconsider. The move had the whiff of a round rationalisation - are they RM going to reduce cost here!

Why get rid of someone who works his ass off to deliver letters and parcels to his regulars when you employ idiots that can't be bothered x

When I lived in Dulford Richard was my postman. I still live locally and see him from time to time. He has always been a lovely friendly chap. I actually thought he was very efficient and am amazed at this news.

Richard has been a fantastic postie and part of the village for years. We trust him completely with our post. He know us all individually and this means a lot to us all. We would feel very let down if he was moved from the round.

Too slow? How pathetic. Leave him alone, he's doing the job and surely that's all that matters?

This is unbelievable. Richard is a fantastic asset to this village. He is always smiling, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. That's what makes a great Postie. It has nothing to do with speed!

Richard goes beyond the call of duty when there is any special occasions, just ask my mother-in-law what he did on her golden wedding day.

Richard is an asset to the post office! This situation sends a clear message that Royal Mail has no care for customer experience!! I've always been loyal to using the Royal Mail service and supporting them against their competitors however, this makes me question my commitment moving forward!!

He's been the postman ever since we've been living and running the village shop. So helpful and reliable! A ridiculous decision by the Royal Mail!! There is a petition on the shop counter also!! Save our Postman!!

I can't believe I'm hearing this! U can't remove Richard from his round, I have lived there years have grown up with his happy face and his morning greet, and he has never been slow all the time I have known him. I am appalled at Richard Stone.
