Yuma is the one sunniest cities in the U.S. and extremely hot in the summer. Yuma families need places to cool off and have fun without having to drive out of town or on the opposite side of town to do so. Yuma needs this pool as well as carver pool, Marcus pool and Valley Aquatic.

Why wasn’t anything done with Kennedy Pool during COVID to save the pool for all the kids and families once COVID was over? To me it was left to extreme neglect and that’s so irresponsible on the part of the city!! There are plenty of people who live within the areas where kids, seniors and families could be utilizing the pool and the city could be increasing revenue by taking much better care of the facility! I am in favor of the City Council reconsidering the elimination of Kennedy Pool. So much money is spent on baseball, soccer, pickle ball, etc, but not on heating Kennedy Pool for year round use; there has been an irresponsible lack of resources designated to upkeep, repair and a commitment to to citizen’s use of pool facilities year round! It is unacceptable to eliminate Kennedy Pool and take away access for so many people who would have to drive out of their neighborhoods to take advantage of such much utilized a year round recreational activity!

Why was this pool able to get in need of repair. Why didn't the city do annual maintenance? Seems like P&R only likes to build ball fields

So many child hood memories for me it would be nice for my children and grandchildren to experience it too. Plus on that side of town we don’t have very many things to offer the children of that neighborhood. So many building are being torn down to build things that don’t benefit the next generation.
Or at anyway healthy choices if it’s not a liquor store it’s a vape store around they corner. Let our kids experience and enjoy for the summer.
Not only that but can also be used for exercise or other activities that benefit the community. The school up the street can also benefit from it as well.
Please save Kennedy poo!
