I believe the show was like most in their first seasons, in that they are still finding their place.
Jupiter's Legacy had a great season, and deserves a second season with true commitment to a final product. So many great shows have been canceled before the audience even has a chance to understand the characters or their story. Plenty of great shows have had rough beginnings and continued on to be amazing for several seasons.

I liked the show and understood it was creating a back story with the first season

Bring back the show! It really deserves a chance to build out the characters and the season 1 cliff hanger has so much opportunity for direction. Netflix was too trigger happy to pull the plug on this one

These days, it seems that, in general, television series are unwilling to treat their prospective audiences like people who *want to* think meaningfully and who *would welcome* the opportunity to contemplate upon subtly complex, nuanced philosophical arguments. Jupiter's Legacy was[ is ] one of the exceptions that prove the rule.
Jupiter's Legacy was[ is ] a series -- a story* -- that asks "the big questions" -- questions such as:
- "What is* The Good?"
- "If afforded/endowed powers that irrevocably transform a mortal human into something beyond such... what are the concomitant/ensuing stipulations?
- "...Is that superhuman -- essentially a mythical god fully manifest -- able to exercise judgement upon themselves, i.e. exhibit restraint, temperance* and mercy* (two of the several, essential components for the concept *and phenomenon* of justice)...or would the sheer power they wield override their capacity and/or concerns for such?"
Netflix made (yet another) poor decision in canceling the show. But I am a believer in the potential power of petitions: that they can (provided they have a truly conspicuous thus considerable aggregate of signatures) be a salient statement and incite actual change...
Resuscitate Jupiter's Legacy

Getting tired of only getting one or two seasons amounting to 16-20 episodes of a series before Netflix cancels them. Seriously considering ending my subscription after 12 years
