Without this nursery my disabled wheelchair bound daughter would have found it impossible to do her 3 year degree course. It's a disgrace to close such a valuable lifeline to all students but especially to the disabled. There lives are difficult enough on a daily basis without a place of education wanting to make.it even harder if not impossible to take further learning. These decision makers should be ashamed of thierselves.

We cannot afford to lose such a high quality nursery. Government plans are to increase childcare provision so lets keep the nurseries we have. Find alternative premises for the college amongst the numerous vacant shops and offices around the area. Children need continuity and stability not disruption.

Why anyone would feel the need to close this nursery is unforgivable! It is such a hard decision and process for parents to go back to work,& once they have found their nursery for their children is a big deal. The possibility of this closure must be awful for the families. Also the staff that have dedicated themselves to their job now have to face a future of change is also unimaginable & something that they wouldn't have thought would happen. Please save this nursery for the staff & for many family involed

Without this nursery i would have been able to attend full time colleage. I was 17 when i had my daughter and still needed the teenage lifestyle, being with friends and studying what i loved. I needed to be a good parent too having jungle cats in the colleage allowed me to do this as i could be there if there were any oroblems it's a wonderful nursey, taught my daughter so much! Needs to be kept open for teachers and students!

Jungle Cats provides the very best educational and learning building blocks and foundations around for our next generation. This nursery is extremely well known in the childcare world in Essex as being exceptional.
Every child matters and deserves a strong and amazing start in their education.

As a former Nursery Officer at Jungle Cats from 2008- 2013 I can hand on heart say that this is truly wonderful and exceptional childcare provider. A place where the fun, smiles and magic never stop and everyone is one close family. The staff are highly trainned and always go up and beyond to give the most amazing, inspiring and educational learning opportunities and experiences. This nursery is also a rare highly graded Ofsted Outstanding nursery. A nursery to 100% aspire to be.

I am part of the amazing team that works at jungle cats. This nursery is rated outstanding by ofstead and will be a big loss to all the children that attend! To close such a wonderful nursery would be a real shame.

This nursery have looked after my two children extremely well for many years. My oldest being there from 9 months old until nearly 5.
This nursery have the most fantastic staff and atmosphere and was the only place I felt comfortable leaving my babies. Such a fantastic place and seems crazy that they would consider closing when they would gain back a very small amount of space.

I've worked at jungle cats nursery anc experienced it first hand and it is a fantastic place to work. To take away this outstanding nursery for the sake of two classrooms would be criminal. This college needs this nursery and many jobs are being lost that do not need to be . The team are completely dedicated and professional at all times. Please save jungle cats from closure!

SAVE THIS NURSERY! I haved worked at this nursery 3 years now. This is very sad news that the nursery is set to be closing. It is an outstanding nursery. The team that work here are are an amazing bunch people. This is a stupid idea of the college to even consider closing this nursery for the sake of just maybe two silly sized classrooms. Please help save this nursery!

My sister works here looking after the childrens breakfast lunch etc and their nutritional needs. She has sweated blood for this job that she absolutely loves and i am disgusted that its going to shut just because of a coiple of extra classrooms, its wrong!!!!

The closure of this extremely popular nursery would be devastating. This nursery has been running for over 25 years and seen many children come and go. I really feel for the parents who now have a massive task looking for alternative child care in the Southend area. There is also the equally massive issue of the job losses of 27 nursery staff including my own partner who is the cook at Jungle Cats. The Nursery is an important part of the wider community and CAN NOT close. Let's hope and pray that South Essex College managers sit down and have a serious rethink in to why it will be a massive mistake. So, come on the people of Southend and beyond, sign the petition and reverse the closure.
