No sense in the disparity of sentence between Komondy and Buffkin. It's this kind of nonsense that really does make capital punishment look ridiculous.

Murdering for retribution does not serve any penological interest. Basing any legal punishment on the old testament's "an eye for an eye" is archaic and inhumane.
