We desperately need to replant some of the street trees in Greenside - some of the invaders on the pavements are being destroyed by termites. We also need propers arborists to oversee proper pruning of very big trees that are not safe in high winds. Pruning around the power lines has left some trees totally lopsided and very dangerous.

As the number of cars on our urban roads increase so does pollution. As the number of buildings increase so does the city get hotter. We need trees to help maintain a healthy environment & cool down our urban spaces. Trees also encourage people to get outdoors & enjoy public spaces: they’re essential for good mental health. Let’s not allow the degradation of our environment and city through the destruction of trees. A world
class city needs trees.

Save the indigenous trees, remove all alien invaders such as syringa and bugweed, as well as black wattle and eucalyptus. While trees may bring rain, invaders consume massive amounts of water that is lost to the environment.

The tree felling in GREENSIDE is horrendous both on the roads and inside properties. It is destroying the nature of the suburb. Soon it won’t be GREENSIDE but concrete side!
