Such a sweet and amazing person. Apart from how great these programs are, Joan is a welcoming person. I was welcomed into the trailers and it changed the rest of my high school experience for the better. I got to know so many nice, friendly other students in a comfortable safe environment. So many fun great memories being involved with Joan and the trailers as well as events she directed!! Joan and her programs must stay!!

As a High school graduate, one of the most positively impacting experiences of high school was Joan. She helped exposed me to Aiming High and Good Shepard, where I learned about taking an initiative towards developing my community. Aside from the much needed volunteer hours that I was able to engage in, and the helpful assistance in school work, I was provided with a home away from home. An area where I could progress both as a student and a person. I was exposed to a social environment that promoted positivity, which is always good at such an age. I have valued this experience and believe entirely that Good Shepard, Aiming High and especially Joan who coordinated the programs in UHHS, were cornerstones that helped me not only graduate, but become a better person in my community. This program should continue, and it is a great reason why University Heights Secondary School is such a unique and special High School.

Ms.Fox should remain at UHHS because she has done so much for our community. Whenever I participated in GSA(Gay-Straight Alliance) she was always there for us and doing amazing projects with us so that we could raise awareness to the public and our school. She means a lot to me and the school community and it would not be the same without her.

Joan is someone who believes in leadership and help youngsters find their leadership skills and prepares us to be an asset to society. Keeping Joan and this program will continue to make a positive difference in many lives and our school community. Therefore, please save her job at UHHS!

When you have a talented leader like Joan Fox on board in an organization, the task is not to cut back and remove the very threads that have built the fabric of success, but to re-secure them. Perhaps an expansive view by those who are making the financial decisions is in order.

Joan Fox has been a wonderful mentor, colleague and friend during my time here at UHHS. Her strong leadership, warmth, and genuine love for the UHHS community shines through in all that she does. She encourages our students to embrace their uniqueness and to love themselves unconditionally. We love Joan, and UHHS would not be the same without her shining presence and all of the wonderful programs/opportunities she brings to our students.

Joan is one of the best teachers I had throughout my High School experience. Taking her away is like taking away the one person who I look up to as well as feel comfortable enough to talk to.

Joan is always around the school and you can just tell when she's around. Her aura is bright and her sense of community is prevalent in everything she does. She always has a huge smile and when things go wrong, she may be stressed, but she always finds a way to fix things. Joan will always cheer you up and even if you don't know her, she'll treat like you're her child. To take her away is like a taking a mother away from her children. Not only will you impact us, you will permanently impact Joan Fox, a woman who exudes excellence in her job and personality.

She always takes the extra step to ensure that someone is satisfied. She is always cheerful, even when she is stressed out she is smiling. She enjoys what she does, and it definitely shows. She has mentored me in the Aiming High program and has allowed me to participate in a field day for another school. She is always making sure students are helping out in some form of way. She is in essence the sunshine to the school.

I have known Joan since 2011 when I started my Freshman year at UHHS. In that time Joan has done tremendous things for me, my friends, and overall the school. Joan has taken her time to work with us. She has done workshops with us to improve our social skills, she's presented us with job opportunities when they were brought to her. She has always put the students first people came to the trailers as a safe haven and a hang out zone. Joan has worked with other schools and facilitated many field days for elementary schools who didn't have fields. Joan is an amazing person and she has had a huge impact on me and hundreds of other current students and former students such as myself. Losing Joan would be a travesty she should be able to keep her job and continue to help others. Joan has made a great difference in many people's lives. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have made connections with the people I know and love today. She has taught me the true meaning behind good shepherd services mission to the community.

Joan doesn't deserve to loose her job. She is an inspiration. She created a special place where one can relieve stress and get the guidance needed to continue to do better and be a better person in this cruel world we live in. She is needed to continue to help and guide students to be better. I was really happy to have had the chance to meet her and spend time with her during highschool. After i step foot in her office i never wanted to leave. Its a peaceful environment and we need that for the youth. So with that being said joan CANNOT loose her job.
