University Heights High School (UHHS) located in Bronx NY, has recently discovered that Good Shepherd Services, a partnered program within the school is going through budget cuts. As a result, Joan Fox the school's beloved-it Program Director or some students would say "second mother", is at risk of losing her job. Mrs. Fox has worked at UHHS for 14 years and has assist students with community organizing, though programs such as The Penny Harvest, Leadership Team, LGBTQ, Gardening, and Aiming High. It is because of her disposition and support that students at UHHS thrived. We hope that the following signatures emphasize the immense impact Joan Fox has had within our community and ultimately save her Job at University Heights.
When you have a talented leader like Joan Fox on board in an organization, the task is not to cut back and remove the very threads that have built the fabric of success, but to re-secure them. Perhaps an expansive view by those who are making the financial decisions is in order.
