When does it end, NESN & Red Sox? When do your employees receive the respect they deserve? When do the fans, who have stuck by you through the worst of times? Don & Jerry kept the ratings as high as they were due to their talent and professionalism. They kept you on the air. Then you let Don go, in the most disrespectful way, and now you want to let Jerry go, too? If you think the outcry was severe when you let Don go, just try firing or "not renewing" Jerry's contract. I can say that this fan of 40 years will no longer watch NESN. Jerry is the only good part of the broadcast, including the pre-and-post-game show. It is from him I learn about the game. His knowledge is unmatched.
The Sox boast that they treat former players with respect and welcome them with open arms. Well? What about Jerry, after all he has done for the organization? Where is the respect he deserves.
I will gladly listen to Joe Castiglione, whom I adore, on WEEI (a station I loathe) than watch a Sox game without Jerry.
Please keep Jerry in the booth. He is the face of the Red Sox, whether you want to recognize it or not.
