I am sure that Sebastian Faulks is not a bad man. I've read some of his books and I have enjoyed them. To the great sorrow of the world he has not however inherited the talent of one of the greatest writers in the English language - P.G. Wodehouse. And yet he has decided to write a book to imitate the inimitable. In fact he has even described Wodehouse as inimitable. Maybe he doesn't know what that word means? I'd like to ask all Wodehouse devotees to take appropriate steps through the proper channels and ask Mr Faulks to desist in this foul endeavour. If he does not, the consequences could be most disturbing.
