The rodeo in Jasper was always a BIG part of our lives growing up. Lots of our parents put in many hours during the rodeo. The least you can save part of our heritage

Jasper has alway been a home away from home for me. In 2012 I was proud to represent the town, the Jasper Heritage Rodeo and the sport of rodeo as Miss Rodeo Jasper Princess.
Rodeo is more than just another event in Japser, it's an unparalleled opportunity to show tourists and those with no other exposure to the western way of life, a disappearing glimpse of the life we live and love.
The rodeo creates a whole week in August where cowboy hats, western themed decorations and an overwhelming sense of pride for our history are adorned by locals, tourists, businesses and the competing professionals rolling through town alike. Rodeo week creates income for the local businesses and adds another stop on the Canadian Pro Rodeo Circuit in the breathtaking rockies, encouraging tourists and contestants to spend time and money where they otherwise wouldn't.
Jasper, like many mountain towns, has a rich history and rodeo is a big part of that history. Let's keep that alive for future generations to enjoy!

I feel that it is the right of tradition in the culture of Jasper and surrounding area to continue to hold the annual Jasper Rodeo.

This has been a successful rodeo for years, put on by a hard working committee under trying conditions. If they could do it for over the past 30 years I'm sure there is a way to continue this great western tradition Alberta and Canada can bring to our visitors from abroad.

A long-standing historic event that enhances the Jasper, Alberta Parks Canada tourist experience and preserves the Western Lifestyle. Would very much like to see it continue.
