Please do not shut this Vet down. Jan Is an amazing woman that truly cares for animals. She should be getting an award not being shut down!

I support this amazing women wholeheartedly.

To whom it may concern. Jan Spate is a fantastic veterinarian and is qualified to do the job she does so well. My family have been going to Jan for help with the health of our cherished animals for over twenty years. Anyone trying to shut her down is only acting out of greed, self interest, turf guarding and professional jealousy as Jan's rates are so fair and her priority is animal welfare not the dirty dollar. Shame on them!! There is a whole section of society who could simply not have the pleasure and companionship of pets without knowing that they can take them to Jan for affordable care. It will be a sad and disgusting indictment of society if a vet with Jan's kindness and many years of experience had her licence revoked. Don't do it, it's disgusting and unethical. I support Jan Spate 100 percent, a truly incredible, humble, hardworking lady who is a vital and much needed vet in the ACT region.

Jan is a god send in so many ways. She is a caring and ethical vet who puts the animals well being before the almighty dollar. She has her place in the vet world here in canberra.

Jan Spate is a truly wonderful vet. She has tirelessly serviced animal across the Canberra surrounds. She has provided top-notch veterinary care to families and their pet even if they don't have enough money. If Jan is unable to diagnose or resolve an animal issue she has referred us to others that could. Up until recently I had two horses. One slipped in its paddock and tore its bicep muscle and had an adenoma on her chest. Jan came out diagnosed the issues gave us a treatment plan and referred us to Gary Christou. My other boy had fallen and had back issues people diagnosed that he would never be ridden again (he was lame on all fours). I went to Jan , again she gave me a treatment plan and I got my horse back into work. She is not expensive but this is because she would prefer to see pets get the treatment they need then have a glamourous surgery. Shame on you Canberra if you allow this to happen so many of you have had your animals out to Jan. If you turn your backs on her now shame on you.

This amazing women has helped me so much with everyone of my animals ! If they shut Jan down so many pets will go untreated due to the ridiculous prices every other vet in the area charges - aged pensioners and low income earners just can't afford it

Let Jan continue service to the community

Jan has been an amazing vet over the years helping both mine and my family's fur babies when they needed it the most no matter the time of day or night, she is the only vet that would help you in those wee hours. Great work Jan, let her keep her license.

I have used Jan as a vet since the 1980's when I arrived in Canberra. If she wants to keep working then let her, there is no more caring vet I have ever known.

I've only ever heard good things about Jan from trusted people around me. I just wish I had her details when my furbaby passed last year, she may have been able to save him :(

I have never come across anyone who cares so much about animals. Jan has always been so kind and understanding and has been doing a fantastic job for many years, helping many of us keep our precious animals alive. Jealousy is not a valid reason for closing someone down.

Myself and my family have been going to jan for years she is the best always does what she can to help and genuinely cares about every animal she sees

Jan is a a true animal lover and I would not see another vet even if you paid me.

A monopoly in any business is not good... if other vets are trying to shut her down because they feel threatened by competition that shows me the calibre of the other vets...and I dont want to use vets like that! Good luck Jan!

She is a valuable provider of vet care to lower income workers who love their animals . Jan is in it for the love of animals not money . Please don't penalise her for providing this critical service . You would be sentencing animals and families to no care and subsequent tragedy .
