Jan has looked after our cows and pets for more than 30 years and is the most wonderful caring and dedicated vet I have ever known. She will happily come on weekends and doesn't charge as much as she should for her time. We love her

I've been taking my animals to Jan for years. She is a fantastic vet and she is such a wonderful, caring woman. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Why on earth are we even needing to do this , I don't understand why this is happening to her , a lot of pets will suffer if this happens , she simply offers vet care at an affordable price , she literally saved my cat's life when another vet turned me away because I couldn't make up front payment , jan cost no more than the other vets consult fee !!!

Fantastic vet. Diagnosed poor Roxy girl who was having regular seizures, in minutes with Pneumonia and made us come back each day for antibiotics, and the end result was very inexpensive for her time and care and a very happy dog again :) For 11 years old she runs around like a puppy again and not a single seizure since. You cannot close down a vet who is so invested in her patients and who does it for the animal, not the cash! Keep Jan OPEN!

This wreaks of the money hungry other vets who charge the earth colluding with the approval board to shut Jan down. Animals will die over this as people won't afford to go to a vet.

I have taken every one of my pets to Jan Spate and have no hesitation recommending her to anyone. She is the most selfless animal loving godsend I have ever met and revoking her licence would be a travesty and a great loss to the Canberra community

Jan is a very special kind of person. Without her many of my animals would not have had the long lives they are living. I have spent thousands at major vet clinics over the years mostly on unnecessary tests and far over priced medication that did not fix the animal. When I discovered Jan I was so amazed, no nonsense no ordering of unrequired test just the right treatment to fix the issue. She has saved 2 of cats, my dog, 3 chickens a guinea fowl and a sheep and her lamb. All of whom would have been put down by other vets because of the expense and because they didn't know what to do or didn't think them worth saving. Jan loves and truly cares for the welfare of all animals even a crazy guinea fowl. Please allow her to continue her selfless service to the animals of our region.
