SAVE JAMUS! Restart production of the old Neocate formulas.
We are asking for Neocate's cooperation to save the life of Jamus and the other children who's only source of nutrition is the old version of Neocate Jr. unflavored. Jamus literally has only a few months supply of his formula...then he has nothing!
Jamus is an adventurous 3.5 year old fighting for his life and hisONLY source of nutrition is a an elemental formula called Neocate Junior (the old version). Jamus Hovseth has been diagnosed with FPIES. They also believe he has another issue that has yet to be diagnosed. According to the FPIES foundation Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES) is a type of food allergy affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Classic symptoms of FPIES include profound vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. These symptoms can lead to severe lethargy, change in body temperature and blood pressure. Unlike typical food allergies, symptoms may not be immediate and do not show up on standard allergy tests. Furthermore, the negative allergy evaluation may delay the diagnosis and take the focus off the causative food. Nonetheless, FPIES can present with severe symptoms following ingestion of a food trigger.
Jamus has NO safe foods. He has spent his life testing, reacting, and healing in search of even ONE food his body can tolerate. He lives on an elemental formula called Neocate Junior, but the formula recently changed and now his body no longer tolerates it. He has tried an endless list of other options but nothing else has passed the test.The reactions are severe, but he is the self-proclaimed “Iron Man“.
Jamus is reacting to his final formula trial and there are no other options for him...EXCEPT his "old" Neocate Jr. unflavored to continue to LIVE. Please help Jamus and his familyfight for his only source of nutrition by signing our petition.

as a mom to a 16 month old with FPIES, i am horrified that these children and their nutritional needs are being overlooked and disregarded. their lives literally depend on this formula and we must do everything we can to ensure they have access to it.
Please get this family what they need. My son Also has FPIES and its a daily and scary struggle that no one can understand unless you know someone with it. Please save his life and help save others out there in the same situation.
What a frightening and terrible situation this little boy and his family is in. I have had a child with FPIES and it is one of the scariest things a parent can deal with. This little boy and his family deserves for his life saving formula to be produced for him.
I understand the reason they changed the formula, but they really did not think about the fragility of the kids who use their formula. I really hope they will begin producing the old formula again. Janus is not the only child in need.
Please bring back neocate infant plain as well. My son is 3 yrs old and only tolerates plain infant neocate without the dha/ ara added. Plain neocate is also no longer being made. That's a timeline on my son's primary nutrition as well. Please neocate bring the old products back.

Please do the moral thing and save these kids! How would you feel if it was your child and someone stopped making their food? Nutricia could get a lot of positive publicity just by doing the right thing. I don't see how this is a hard choice to make.
