JAI or Justice and The Arts Initiative, is a program that has been at Santa Clara University for 5 years. The program has been threatened as it will no longer exist next year. This program connects directly with Jesuit ideals of social justice. It has brought amazing awareness about justice and how art can act as a means for change. The most recent project, What A Stranger May Know, was a memorial play for the 32 victims of the Virginia Tech shootings. Projects like this are important to artists and all those who aim to promote social justice!

BRING IT BACK. SCU needs more spaces for stuff like this not less.

JAI is literally the reason I chose SCU. It taught me so much about how to use my art for the community. Don't take this away.

Ridiculous to cut a program that actually aligns with our mission. Keep JAI alive!
