Jackie Smith has been a pillar of her community for many years. She has positively impacted the lives of young people and in some instances for more than one generation within a family.
Jackie's Dance and Private Education is a 33 year legacy in need of your support and help as the business faces foreclosure. There is a court hearing on Monday July 16th,2012 to make an appeal granting Jackie's the added time needed to gather funds to avoid foreclosure.
The meeting is to be held at the Federal Building 903 San Jacinto Blvd.
3rd Floor @ 1:00 pm on Monday July 16th and we are asking all present and past families to attend offering a show of support as well as the importance of Jackie's in the community.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the stories you have been sharing about how Jackie shaped your lives. It is clear that this place is about so much more than dance lessons. I am working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the upcoming hearing and your commitment to this legacy is the only reason I have the strength to keep going.

Ridiculous that they are trying to take this away. Jackie has done more for these kids than the city ever has.
i grew up in jackies studio. it feels like home. way too many memories to let it end like this.
JACKIE IS A SAINT. she helped my son when nobody else would. DO NOT CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!!!
Sad to see this happening. Hope she gets the time she needs.
33 years is a long time. People need to show up on Monday and make some noise. Save the studio.

Jackie taught me ballet when I was 6. Now my own daughter goes there. You cant just shut down a legacy like this.
