"The children of Ironbound Catholic Academy deserve better, they deserve the happiness and excellence they've known in their school. They deserve their school!" It's insane that with all that's going on they are putting this kids and parents through this hardship of losing their school also. The number one place other than their home that they spend most of their time at.

Please save this school....my dad works here and loves this school. I know he doesn’t want to see it close and I know he doesn’t want these kids and parents to suffer due to the abrupt closing.

No reason for these Catholic Schools to close! Sell some of the jewels and paintings in the Vatican. That alone would support all the Catholic schools across the globe!

It's pathetic that the Archdiocese of Newark is now dissolving Ironbound Academy after only a few years after closing ALL the parish schools. I can't believe this mismanagement of yet another school by the Archdiocese. Apparently this organization needs a restructuring of it 's management staff.

The Ironbound Catholic Academy has long provided their students a quality of education that is superior to that offered in the Newark School System, as well as a moral foundation to mold them into responsible, caring and productive adults. Closing the Ironbound Catholic Academy would be a tremendous loss for the City of Newark, The State of New Jersey and the Archdiocese of Newark. My grandfather helped build St.Casimir's - his name is even affixed to a brass plate on the pulpit. I and all my siblings graduated from St.Casimir's and went on to lead productive lives as citizens and advocates for our Catholic Religion. Do not destroy the very institution that supports both its students and institution of the Catholic Church. For the Archdiocese, it would be like cutting its own throat.

It's sad. The worst part of it all, is that the Archdiocese can help if they choose to do so. I know all too well how that goes.
It is very frustrating for parents and for parishioners. So, the Archdiocese, chooses not to help but than in the same instance the archdiocese turns around and tries to reach out to catholics and possible new parishioners in the attempt to maintain our catholic faith. Which is a great thing, but here you are believing in our faith, community and school and want to save what we all hold close to our hearts and truly believe in and what do they choose to do.
TURN THEIR BACKS!
obviously, the archdiocese is solely looking and treating it a business. Not financially working for them so in there eyes time to go. Since it's all about money for the archdiocese, If the archdiocese was smart than do that look at the opportunity and potential you have right here right in front of your eyes. Be Smart! Be Innovative! For once think out of the BOX! invest in the school and build it to be bigger and better. Offer tutoring, sports and other academic activities and clubs and maybe even summer camp, there is always financial gain to be maid with a well runned summer camp.
Clean houses, keep the teachers who are excellent educators and hire new innovative and eager teachers with a thirst to teach.
I can go on for days but honestly this isn't going to help unless it gets to the right hands and of course if the archdiocese has even a small smidgen of interest to help the success of Ironbound Catholic Academy.
I wish everyone (students/parents/teachers) that are going through this the best of luck.
