This garden i much loved an used by many. People come from far and wide their events and it's used on a daily basis used particularly be people who have mental health issues. I'm sure other sites counld be used instea i.e brown sites. It would be so wrong for the community to lose this asset.

The Inkwell Gardens are a perfect combination of a learning, peaceful and fun space for all ages. You don't need to be an expert to appreciate the innovative work that goes on there. It is an absolute gem!

Barnardo's Willow Young Carers Service strongly urges the Council to reject this application. This garden and everything that takes place in it directly benefits many young carers affected by parental mental illness. Barnardo's partnership with Leeds MIND has been a significant and symbolic step in bringing adult and children's services together and in challenging the stigma of mental illness in families. The destruction of this beautiful, green tranquil space would be a devastating loss to families across Leeds and a real step backwards. There is a growing body of research which evidences the benefits of gardening, being in green spaces and volunteering in promoting emotional and mental health. This is about people not money, however the loss of such vital services will cost us all dearly.
