This is one of the few spaces in Leeds which had recently begun to celebrate the wellbeing of people through the arts, and through bringing people together. I am sure many people are struggling to see how these plans will have a greater positive effect on the people of Leeds when compared with what the existence of this garden brings. It would be nice if they didn't have to ruin anybody's space at all, but, please, don't ruin this one if you must.

Yet another beautiful green space up for grabs for greedy developers whose only interest is money. These small pockets of green space are vital for any community, particularly those with mental health issues who have benefited so greatly from Inkwell Gdsn.

I strongly object to this development. Inkwell has created a vital resource in our community and the garden is very much a part of that. I'm dismayed that a private property development is being considered for this small safe haven of green space in our community. We need affordable housing in our community, NOT small little flats crammed into an area that is very much in use (and not vacant as the planning request is implying!) we don't need more privately rented or sold flats at exorbitant prices! You can't put a price on the dedication and work that clients and volunteers have put in to this space that is invaluable to the health and wellbeing of hundreds of people in the surrounding area. Please do not put profit making for a few over the health and well being of many.

We don't really need new flats, and you don't really need to build them. What we need is more quality community spaces and shared resources.

Inkwell's garden is one of the few spaces left that hold safe and family friendly events that not only provide a perfect environment for children and people of all ages to enjoy, but brings the community together with their spectacular events. This would be a loss to hundreds of locals and the volunteers who built the garden from scratch, so please keep it!

Please keep the garden as it is a vital part of the therapy that goes on at Inkwell
