Save indoor tennis in Manhattan now before it is too late!!!

We need this facility , I enjoy playing tennis , why would anyone want to close it down?

Strongly recommend that the Sutton East Tennis Club (Queensboro Bridge) NOT be removed as it provides the only accessable tennis courts on the East Side.

Publicly-available athletics facilities and fields are a precious resource. Indoor tennis courts have the additional benefits of being usable year round. While I can't claim to know the plans of the Parks Department, or if they contemplate something newer and even more egalitarian in access that would serve more people, I would be sad to see an athletic facility disappear.

Manhattan needs this tennis center!!!

I played at Sutton East when I was a kid and now my daughter plays there with her friends and takes advantage of the Sutton East youth program. It would be tragic if this great facility were to close! Please keep it open,

This is one of the few affordable tennis options in the city as the public courts are extremely busy on nights and weekends. Please continue the lease with Sutton East.

Tennis is difficult enough to play in the city, let's keep this wonderful facility open in an area that is desparate for courts.

My whole family supports wholeheartedly the indoor tennis courts underneath the Queensboro Bridge. It is an indispensable facility for people of all ages to keep fit & healthy in all kinds of weather conditions! Please listen to us!!

What is the proposed re-use of the space? It can't be any better than the tennis courts presently there.

There is not another facility like Sutton East Tennis that services the needs of young and old players. The red clay surface provides an injury-reducing factor that other venues do not. This promotes and preserves better health and safety for players. Save Sutton East Tennis for NYC!!!

We need more tennis facilities in Manhattan. Please do not take out the few that we already have.

Do not closectennis courts

It's crazy to reduce the already low supply of tennis courts in Manhattan; that would push prices up even further. The supply of tennis courts needs to be increased several fold!

As a city that hosts one of the most famous global tennis tournaments, the city should keep this great sport alive in every way possible! New York City should provide a rich and full life of activities. Tennis is one of those that is most difficult in New York City due to the unique space needs for tennis courts, and many people do seek this excellent and social form of exercise year round. Don't further reduce New Yorkers challenges in participating in this excellent sport!
