It would be a shame to lose such a storied NY tennis venue as Sutton East that has so much history. I played the Easter Bowl Junior Championships there in 1974 & in 1975 (when it was called Tennis 59)where I lost to the #1 junior player in the world, Ricardo Ycaza.

There are so few places to play tennis in Manhattan. Sutton East Tennis is a great resource for people of all ages to get exercise and promote tennis!

This club is a great place for the youth of tennis as well as the History of NYC Tennis. Please leave it be.

There is a shortage of affordable indoor tennis courts in Manhattan. Sutton East provide wonderful tennis lessons and fitness classes not only for our neighborhood but for our whole city. Please keep these courts open for us!

This facility is a great place to play tennis with and meet the locals when I visit NYC . It would be a real sham to see this resource disappear.

We need indoor facilities to play anything in the winter time. Tennis teaches so many positive life skills. What else are you going to put under a noisy bridge.

It's really nice for kids to face indoor athletic space such as tennis bubbles during the cold winter months. So many kids have stayed fit and healthy playing tennis all winter long.

My 6 year old girl and I enjoy playing in this facility. It is especially useful in the winter months - when the park just across the street is not conducive.

I am entirely against any decision to remove the Sutton East Tennis Club! Many families and children will no longer have access to affordable tennis in the city and this is a great loss. In effect, you will be removing tennis except for the few who can pay a lot for it. For a city that has a world-renowned tennis tournament, this is shocking! Let these courts continue to be a source of recreation for the families and children of New York!
