This is the only place within midtown that provides tennis players with a viable alternate to other activities. Please don't close it down

Sutton East Tennis Club is a convenient, accessible resource for residents of NYC and their families. We have so many parks, but playing tennis in the bubble is truly special. It allows adults and children to learn and play a fun and healthy LIFELONG activity, especially during the cold months when there are few options. On behalf of my family, friends and neighbors, please keep it open!

Please keep these programs in place. They make tennis accessible to so many people and add value to our community.

Please keep these indoor tennis courts! They are important to our community. The young and old alike benefit from this facility. Additionally, it employs over 65 people. I support indoor tennis underneath the Queensboro Bridge.

It is too inconvenient to go to other boros for this opportunity. Please do not continue trying to get rid of this venue, Parks Dept!!

It would be an incredible loss for our community - and I don't see the point to have a park in such a noisy and polluted area.

I have asked a friend to forward this as I am out of the country with limited email.
SUTTON East is absolutely a community amenity, just like the courts in Central Park. There is a fee to play in all the city tennis facilities. SUTTON East is Not a private club as anyone can play by the season or the hour. It would be terrible open park space as it is directly under the bridge with enormous noise and dirt. There is a playground diagonally across the street, so that point is moot.
SUTTON East is a far more sensible use of the space for nine winter months than any other possible idea. Be smart and keep it as a city rent payer used by hundreds of local tax payers every week.
Thank you. Virginia Elvin

This facility helps me to keep my son in tennis training through the winter and is irreplaceable in its location, facility and service. We have many parks in the neighborhood but only one such facility and I support the continued use of the space for the all-weather tennis courts
