I can't imagine a use for this real estate that would be of greater value to NYC families. Sutton East is the most egalitarian, welcoming, affordable option I've found for myself and my kids to learn the sport year-round. It's one of the very few options left for those of us who are priced out of other indoor clubs and seek an atmosphere that's less aggressive than the public parks.

I hate the tennis bubble. It is an eye soar. I live right across the street. In the summer time the space used to be open for softball which was so nice. I used to play tennis a lot and I thought it would be nice to have courts across the street but it is so overpriced. Playing in Central Park is so much cheaper. The space should be converted to a beautiful park so that everyone can enjoy it rather than only rich people who play tennis.

Why would the city want to take away a facility that provides the ability to play a great sport and get exercise?

We need to maintain these courts as there is limited playing space in the city. The instructors and community at Sutton East are fantastic and very welcoming to new players!

Sutton East is a gem in NYC. There are not many places to play and this is loved by the community. Please keep it open.

The people from Manhattan will be affected by this ridiculous desition. There is very limited options available for us. Exersice is very important for everyone to stay healthy . When you're healthy you have less need to go to the hospital and tax money is saved.

These courts are serving the community and are an asset to NYC. We need more such places for playing tennis. It's well run and well done.
