Keep Sutton Tennis!!!

The tennis court is valuable to the neighborhood.

I strongly support Sutton Place Tennis as it remains one of the last and few tennis courts available to Manhattan residents. With a NYC Parks Pass everyone has access to their courts during the summer which is a tremendous benefit to the community. Please continue to keep it open to everyone!

Sutton East making efforts to make the courts available not only to rich people in the area. My daughter and I enjoyed playing their indoor courts during the last two summers (FREE FOR PERMIT HOLDERS!) and I have been playing indoors during very cold weather (costs $23/hour for Match Play organized by the club). As long as they are making such efforts, we should keep the courts.

Please keep the tennis courts! They are a NYC staple

Please make every effort to keep these courts open. I have played on them for years, and love everything about them ~ Especially The Location.

These courts allow for so much joy every day of the year. It would be such a crime to close them.

There are too few open to the public options. I hear lots of comments about how expensive it is to rent an entire court and not many about how many other great programing there is available for much less $$. There is something for everyone here. Cardio tennis for instance when bought in a package of 10 comes to about $40 a session! I hardly think this is an elitist price!

Love playing there. Hard to find indoor tennis in winter in Manhattan. This is a gem.

Stop selling the city to the highest bidder and save some of it for the middle and working classes.

My family plays tennis under the 59th Street Bridge. It would be a loss to the city if those courts were closed.

Please allow Sutton East to exist and continue its amazing and very important tennis instruction and recreation.

Highest and best use of the land. Run a bidding process for the lease if market rate needs to be confirmed.

There are too few places to play tennis in Manhattan as it is. And what better possible use could there be for land under a bridge?

The Sutton East tennis courts are a wonderful resource in the city - a place where affordable tennis is difficult to find. It's essential that we keep them open!

The tennis courts need to continue - it's one of the few places to get exercise and play tennis in the area! The community loves this place!

These tennis courts are essential to the surrounding neighborhoods and also takes the burden off of the already strained Central Park courts. It is critical, for the well-being of the community, that these courts be preserved. -RCT
