Save indoor tennis in Manhattan now before it is too late!!!

Please keep these courts. They have been used by my family for years.

These courts are an essential part of our community. Do not take them from us!

WHY is the city considering removing an amenity that regular new yorkers of all ages have enjoyed for over 40 years. There is no reason that we should be stripped from having a place to enjoy physical fitness at a reasonable cost. WHY ??? We dont need another building to be put up there.

Moving to New York from Los Angeles it was hard to find tennis courts. Tennis is a huge part of my fitness regimen and general well being. After playing at Sutton East for 2 years I realize what a loss for the city this would be. There is such a sense of community here. Tennis is a game that emphasizes good sportsmanship as only you (or doubles partner) are responsible for your victories. This club has been so important to me not only tennis but forming friendships. The employees are professional and dedicated and deserve to keep their home in a world and city of diminishing community venues. Jacquelin Jordan

Keep the tennis courts under the Queensboro Bridge.

We don’t need more development. Please leave the tennis courts - the City needs recreation and community activities. The Courts are used and serve an important purpose as a recreational gathering place. I use them — and even if I didn’t you need to allow people a place to play sports indoors! Diana S.

I firmly support keeping the tennis courts open under the Queensboro Bridge. It is one of the only indoor tennis facilities open to the public in NYC and the tennis community needs a facility for these constituents. We have plenty of other basketball courts, running facilities and Bike lanes but a scarce amount of public tennis courts available during the Fall, Winter and early Spring season

This tennis facility is unlike any other in the city, and makes the sport accessible to neighbors of all income levels. It's the best!

These courts are critical to NYC!

Our city needs more places for people to excerise and these tennis courts helps New Yorkers stay fit. We need to support and keep the courts open. We don’t need another parking lot.

I make a point of using sutton east courts even though I live downtown. Public court options are few, and eliminating these courts hurts the tennis community.

These courts are a big part of being able to play tennis in the winter. It would be a shame to see that taken away.
