There are no accessible clay courts in the NYC area. For those of us with knee issues, clay is a life saver. These courts serve a vital need in the local tennis community.

My family plays here and it is nearly the only place to play for my daughter all winter. Please don’t close this.

As a resident of the UES, I, along with my family have used these courts for the last 20 years. Both my children have taken lessons, and continue to do so, at this facility. This is a valuable resource to our neighborhood and it would be a shame if these courts were to be closed down.

By removing Sutton Tennis from Sutton Place, you will be chipping away at our community, changing our neighborhood for the worse. This is a place whereby my family connects; my daughters are growing up fast, but we make time to put down our phones and hit the courts for family time.

My daughter plays at Sutton East, as do my wife and I. I can’t think of a better use for that area under the bridge.

I have played here with my Dad since I was 5 years old. Manhattan needs year round tennis facilities. Please support keeping this open. I am 16 years old now.
Thank you.

There are very few alternatives for tennis players of all ages and abilities. This facility has programs, court rentals, lessons for pee-wees to adults, racket stringing and more. It is used from early morning to the evening. In the summer, people can use their CP passes to play. There is no reason to close this facility. Please vote to keep it open.

It will be a huge loss for the people that love to play tennis. As there aren’t many indoor courts in the neighborhood. Please keep this court open.
