Please save these courts. For the cold weather they are the only affordable courts in
Manhattan. It means a lot to those of us seniors who are healthy but not wealthy.

We have a wonderful facility used by all ages and demographics in the neighborhood which pays the city needed revenue. If the city doesn't renew the lease the lot will surely sit vacant for many years -- there is no money to build parks and so much red tape. It would be a travesty and failure of leadership.

I've recently discovered the Sutton East Tennis Courts and having them available has had a huge positive impact on my life.
Sutton East has allowed me to reconnect with a sport I hadn't played in years; and more importantly has allowed me break the habit of my sedentary lifestyle. (I'm now regularly exercising for the first time in over 8 years!)
This is probably the only place in NYC with affordable sessions at convenient times.
Please keep our courts!!!

Please do not remove Sutton East Tennis Club. It is an amazing facility that thousands of people use regularly. Removing it would be a huge detriment to the city of New York, as well as players and employees alike.

I use this all the time and it's one of an already paltry number of cold weather options for tennis in the city. Please do not close this!

I feel the Sutton East courts are a valuable asset to the NYC indoor tennis players and closing them would only make it more difficult and more expensive for many tennis enthusiasts to find courts during the indoor season.
I hope you reconsider and do not close these courts.

What is NYC planning to do with his space? Turn it into another failing retail space like food emporium next door?
