PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE THESE COURTS! Manhattan has hardly ANY indoor tennis in the winter, including absolutely NONE provided by the Parks department. There are very few indoor tennis courts in Manhattan and it really is a fabulous form of exercise for ALL ages and groups. There is FAR MORE open green space in NYC than there are places to play tennis.
This is a FALSE statement, ""We’re in positive, forward-thinking discussions will Bill Castro, the Manhattan Borough Parks Commissioner, who said he's keeping an open mind," Clynes said. "Certainly there are other indoor facilities for tennis players on the Upper East Side. "
Certainly there are other indoor courts???? WHERE????? Why is this idiot politician making up lies without having a clue?
NYC makes tennis more difficult and expensive than ANY OTHER CITY - ANYWHERE! Please do not sacrifice us more than you have. Thank you!!!!!

It would be such a disservice to the NYC tennis community to take Sutton Tennis away. There are so few places to currently play already. It would make it a sport only available to the very wealthy. PLEASE!

Sutton East Tennis is so important to a lot of NYC people and is enjoyed by thousands of them. Let's keep it opened and in service of all of those who deeply benefit from its use. Thnaks !

NY keeps losing tennis courts - and for no good reason. This is one of the only venues left on the east side. Please!

This will decrease quality of life in the city. Please allow NY'ers to play winter tennis. If it closes, what does it say about the city that hosts the US Open?? Thank you for reading!

I learned to play tennis here. Please keep it open. A huge asset to the local area and home values. NYC already has almost no indoor tennis options.

There are so few courts that are accessible and public in the city. I use these with my children. Id think those using the facilities are not creating problems and most live or work in the area.
