This institution is amazing and I was extremely blessed to be part of it. When you walk in you do not join classmates you join a family and that family I have had since walking in the doors and 1998. Current and future students deserve the opportunity to be a part of this family and sisterhood. It was a true honor and blessing in my life and the threat of IND closing it utterly devastating and breaks my heart that future generations will be robbed of this great institution.

It is extremely sad to think that all of the girls in Baltimore will be missing out on the stellar education and strong tradition of IND. IND embraces young girls, bonds us together in sisterhood and then graces the world with strong, intelligent, caring young women who make differences in our world. Baltimore girls should not be denied the privilege of an IND education and experience! I have three granddaughters who I would LOVE to see have the chance to be my sisters by sharing the heart of IND as alumnae like their grandmother and mother and aunt share. Please consider our plea to save our beautiful IND.

Administration is correct. It would have been impossible to recruit a viable freshman class for the fall. However, the charism of IND could continue in another model. Very small, nurturing, academic, service based learning for young women. Mission School of sorts?
Class of 1971
