On Behalf of the family of Hirschi IB Magnet High School we have signed this petetion to show exactly how many people the wrongful expulision of IB theater would truly affect . by taking away a home and a community. The program has helped so many, and in the decision of removing it, it seems that you have not considered everyone's input. By signing, each of us state that theater is in the blood of Hirschi High School and it should not be taken away.

I'm not even in theater, but I know how important it is for some people and I feel that it shouldn't be taken away from the students.
The theater experience is part of the backbone of a stellar curriculum. To delete it would be a crime against all the things that enrich our lives and feed our souls. Please make your grandchildren proud and SAVE IB THEATER!!!
My highschool theater and speech class were critical to my success in school...this the place that truly prepared me for my life long career. Please reconsider your decision and keep the theater program going! Sincerely, Gail Murphy
It's a popular elective, successful in uil, and taught by a wonderful teacher. Why mess with a good thing?
If it weren't for theatre I wouldn't be here. I didn't feel like I belong until I joined theatre.
When I attended Hirschi for 2 years I was in IB theatre, it was my favorite class. I learned more about life in IB theater than any other class, that I have carried out in the real world. I formed bonds to people that are still strong even though I no longer am in high school. IB theatre built my self-esteem, confidence, and character. I can honestly say that it changed my life for the better. It would be a shame to get rid of this great program that has helped high school kids in so many ways. I can speak for my older sister that was in the IB theatre program all 4 years she attended Hirschi and myself when I say, IB theatre was one of the best things that happened to us in high school. We will forever be grateful for the program and the wonderful teacher that molded us into the people we are today. IB theatre was my safe haven.
Must be another of those "open" decisions by the BOE. Perhaps they are planning to incorporate theater arts into the new centrally located CTE center.

I love hirschi arts nd acedemics. I believe arts help accelerate the learning process for some students.
