This school has so many traditions and means so much to so many people. The comissioners need to listen to the community and do the right thing. The school deserves to be cherished and used for educational purposes!

Please save HHS. My mom went to school there where she was a majorette. I was lucky enough to go watch her perform on that bearcat turf at her reunion one year. The spirit of that school lives on and on. Don't stop that recycling of love and memories.

This school is one of the most important landmarks in Hendersonville. It deserves to continue to be used as a school by HHS. This decision, like the restoration of the Court House deserves to be made with care to honor the building and the generations of students who have walked these halls.

I am sincerely disappointed in the vote you cast not to use the historic Hendersonville High School building for educational purposes. I have lived in many places and NEVER experienced a community so proud of their High School, it's alumni and it's traditions. This is a building where kids come together, living and breathing and supporting each other, in a world of screens, violence and hate. Why would you want to destroy that? In order to use the building for offices you still have to spend a renovation budget so why would you choose to use this dearly loved building for anything but a school? My children (2nd and 7th graders) are the ones you are hurting with this decision. It also disappoints me that you did not take the recommendations of the school board but only did what the 5 of you felt like doing. I do not believe for a moment that you made this decision with the best interest of the community and it's children in mind but made this decision based on your own political and personal agendas. The city of Hendersonville is a small part of the county but is STILL a part of the county and should have a voice. As County Commissioners it seems you are choosing not to listen to those of us in the City. We are very disappointed in you. I hope you will reconsider this very upsetting and disappointing decision that does not reflect the wishes of those you serve.
