My husband John built our house at 1221 Molokai Road in 1965 and we have lived here since then. Our daughter went (in walking distance) to this school, which has had a most positive affect on all our lives, as well as those of all of our neighbors. Closing this excellent school will "kill" the 3 neighborhoods of GP, HH and Gl - because young couples move here principally because of the excellent reputation of Holiday Hill Elem.School . PLS DO NOT CLOSE THIS ASSET OF OUR COMMUNITY.

I taught at Holiday Hill for many years. My two sons went to Holiday Hill and we lived in Grove Park for 27 years. This school is the HEART of this community. It is the reason many families move to the neighborhood and why HH kids grow up and move back there with their families! Holiday Hill is a community treasure!

I moved to this neighborhood in 1984. My daughters attended holiday hill. My youngest got a very good education there and is almost the heart of this neighborhood.

My oldest son started at this school since kindergarten the teachers were wonderful. He made patrol 5th grade best experience ever. Now his brother is a current student. The help he has received is the best.

I grew up and went to Holiday Hill for kindergarten-3rd grade back in the early 2000s and that school helped shaped me and the teachers there were incredible. It would sadden me deeply if they closed the school.

This school is a gem of the community. With magnet, pride and community students the school has flourished. As a magnet parent of students that have found success in Middle School and High School because of the foundation laid at Holiday Hill, I feel as though closing it would be a disservice to the community it serves as well as Jacksonville at large.

I attended 1st-6th grade, '66-'72. we walked or rode bikes. It has evolved into an irreplaceable A+ asset to our neighborhood. Do not cancel this part of our culture!

This has been and always will be a great school for the neighborhood and surrounding community. I see no reason to get rid of it , I’ve planned on enrolling my daughter in Holiday Hill when she’s old enough.
