Holiday Hill Elementary has been a part of our family for three generations. Closing the school would be a huge disservice to everyone. The neighborhood is changing again and bringing in growing families. In closing the school, it would create a large burden on the families and students in Grove Park and Glynlea-Grove Park.
The school has resources and class sizes that are so beneficial to students.

As a former faculty member, and a supporter of the current faculty and administration, I strongly oppose the closure of Holiday Hill Elementary. The school has a long history of high academics, that are supported by parents and members of the surrounding neighborhood.
Closing the school would be a detriment to many.

My son Miles has blossomed in the Holiday Hill Elementary gifted program and I am grateful for all of the staff. Our neighborhood depends on this school!!!

My family has lived in holiday hill for three generations and two of them attended holiday hill. Not only has it had a positive impact, but countless families in the neighborhood. Local kids are walking distance from their homes, has forged countless friendships and memories among students from their own neighborhood , and has kept our community closely bonded. Holiday Hill Elementary and schools like don’t just a critical role in educating our children, but also gives the neighborhoods adjacent to them feel more enriched and less isolated. I implore as a born and raised son of Jacksonville to reconsider your proposal and contemplate the potential isolating and damaging effects this proposal can have on the culture of our local communities.
