Family support workers are absolutely fantastic and really helped me when I most needed it. I can't believe this services is being taken away. living with an autistic child can be very very lonely and family support workers offer a Lifeline to us along with vital information which I would not have known about if I would not have had a family support worker working with me

Helping children to cope will enable them to cope as adults and save the NHS money later.

I can't understand why such support is being stopped. Quite scary to think of the impact this will have on children's schools an families.

This role is an invaluable support at times when families are struggling emotionally. They can sign post families through the confusing world os sen support. Eas worries, talk things through so you no longer feel so alone, isolated & misunderstood.

With a growing number of children being diagnosed with autism, families need support more than ever. The family support workers make such a difference to peoples lives. Please do not take away funding from this valuable service.

Please carry on funding this. It is so valuable. They helped us so much when my son was diagnosed with ASD - the only service to do so.. Still on waiting list for Palms and never saw Cahms. Please keep this service going. It is not an exaggeration that they saved my son's mental health during a truely horrendous year at school and home. Please don't let down vulnerable families .

Hertfordshire is already lacking support for families with autism. I've been on the waiting list for Family Support Worker since May and this service will be crucial to us as we are all really struggling. I would have thought we need more funding for this service not less.

My son has Autism and it seems more services are being cut that support us.

Removing this service will have a detrimental affect to a huge amount of families in Herts. It has helped so many.

We're just on the waiting list for this service. All other services keep telling me a family support worker is what we need - a crossover between home and school. Where should the paediatrician, or the school, or mental health services refer us to if Family Support Workers are no longer there?

People with autistic children or autism need help and support there's not enough as it is let alone getting rid of someone offering some help. People who don't live with autism don't realise how hard it is.

Any cut in support workers for Autism impacts badly on the family's who really really need them. Please don't do this. Think of the children for once. They need this service badly.

Taking this vital service away will undoubtedly result in more families reaching crisis point. Which will put an even greater strain on mental health services!

Please rethink this decision, our support worker has made an incredible decision to our family. This is an all new journey for us and her insight, knowledge and general caring nature has been invaluable at this time.

This is the best service I have used and with so little offered elsewhere it is invaluable.

A vital service, it will be tragic to lose this area of support
