We are deeply disturbed over the thought that the path may come close to the back of pour home and ruin the natural habitat. Also we are concerned about privacy and safety issues. For the trail to go through the flood plain rather than along Flowers or Brandywine road seems poorly thought and poorly planned . The cost would.be less along these existing paved roads, the habitat would not be destroyed and the community of homeowners who live along Henderson creek would be protected.

The disturbance and destruction of the natural habitat and ecosystem of the Henderson Mill Creek Floodplain for the sake of a 12 feet-wide bike and pedestrian roadway constitutes an unwarranted invasion of some of the last vestiges of wilderness in the immediate local area. The many species of flora and fauna that calls the Floodplain home will be displaced, potentially unable to find new habitats and at worst will disappear altogether from the area leaving a gaping hole in the area's ecosystem.
So too, the planned roadway will have detrimental effects on the adjacent residential neighborhoods which have called the Floodplain home for many years. Specifically, the increase in traffic, noise and potential for the roadway to attract bad actors to the neighborhood will directly impact each resident's right to quiet enjoyment of their property while also causing a general nuisance which was not present at the time that existing property owners purchases their homes.
For the above reasons, I am vehemently opposed to this plan and fully support this petition and its goals.

This concrete trail is more like a road that would be coming through the backyards of my neighbors across the street and destroy the wetlands and serenity of the area. It would bring traffic, noise, strangers roaming the neighborhood, possibly criminals and devalue the properties of those directly affected.

Property owners who bought their property because of the privacy the wetlands provide should not have this path forced on them. Also, this path will make our neighborhood vulnerable to crime due to easy access to our backyards.

I grew up with these woods as my back yard. This small wooded area provide countless hours of exploration and was a pivotal component to my development as a person. Those area is extremely important not only as an ecosystem and watershed, but as a place for the youth to for a deeper connection to the natural world. Building this pathway will destroy this crucial environment.

I’m opposed to the proposed PATH along the narrow Henderson Creek as it will destroy the floodplain and surrounding wildlife.

I lived on Rangewood Drive for 25 years with our yard backing up to the wetlands and Henderson Creek wildlife greenspace..
Each Christmas Day, we donned our warm clothes and knee boots to hike the entire area.
It is an unforgiving area . Very silty and not secure. Not an area that can be made safe for walking and biking at any time of year.
Abundant bird, snake, coyote and formerly bunny habitat that will be destroyed with any construction or disturbance to the area. To even imagine making illegal parking access in quiet neighborhoods is wrong!
There are many other places that Paths can prey upon. This is not a rail to trail type of project.
Thank you for considering my hardy interest in this project - that it NEVER be touched for a trail or a path or any human access that changes the natural habitat of this amazing untouched area.

This is a cul-de-sac! This is not the place to start or end a bike trail.

I say "No" to this trail. It is not a trail but a concrete path that will be in my backyard that will be an issue of noise, privacy issues and security. Also, don't want this to invade our forested floodplain.

Strongly oppose this bike road,
Which among the many reasons, is the increases flooding of properties down Henderson Creek

While I am in favor of walking trails in general, this path is ill designed and not suited for our area. The plans for access points is completely out of character with our neighborhood and would change the lifestyle on our street substantially. The roadway system in our neighborhood also would not support the traffic likely to come into our area.
