NO PATH!! The path will destroy wildlife and cause a safety issue for current residents living on trail path. Whats the plan if someone gets hurt
On the path? Cut through peoples yard? Dekalb needs to fix the current paths, parks, and roads. There is so much maintenance that needs to be done to the current infrastructures. Even better take the money and give it to the schools! We all know how badly the Dekalb county schools could use the money! This path would be a complete waste of money and resources.

It is outrageous that anyone would want to pave over this beautiful wetland with so much wildlife just so humans can have more paved trails.

I’m all for the PATH, but not when it’s going to cause issues with an already fragile ecosystem and there’s a viable alternative.

Please don’t build a paved path through this wetland! I treasure this forest and visit it often. Paving a path would be destructive in many ways. I’m against it!

Please take the Flowers Rd plan. Wetlands are rare habitats and they need to be preserved.

I am appalled that yet another green space is being threatened by concrete.

We must stop this. People are widely misinformed about the vaule of wetlands. Inner city wetland are important.

I grew up playing in this area. As a young teenager I was able to safely ride my bik from Leslie Beach Club to the 7-11 on Shallowford Rd. This plan stands to disrupt a peaceful natural area, bring trash, and cost the people lots of money to maintain the structure. As this site claims, there are other alternatives.

There are viable, less-harmful bike path alternatives to this destructive proposal.

This construction project is something that the tax payers in the Henderson Creek area do not want, and it would be an overall detriment to the value of the area.

This would be a nightmare! Too many homeowners privacy would be affected and home values would decrease!

This would be dangerous for the homeowners and look hideous. Please do NOT build this. Please

Building in a flood plain will 1) destroy the habitat for the many animals and birds living there and 2) cause the floodplain to create even more problems for those owning homes adjacent to the creek. Homes near the floodplain already experience flooding problems. Building in this area should be illegal because it’s not lawful to build in a floodplain also, home owners will likely experienced even higher levels of water in their yards and homes when the creek floods. Adding any structure to a floodplain will obviously raise the water level higher.
